What is the cost of a class?

If you sign up with a credit/debit card via the website, the cost is $89.00 per attendee.

If you would like to mail in a check the cost is $89.00. The check must reach our offices 3 days before the class date.

If you would like to pay at the door the cost is $100.00 payable with cash or a check.




Is there a discount for signing up multiple attendees at the same time?

If you sign up 5 or more students at the same time there is a 5 percent discount. The website will automatically calculate the discount.


Is my credit card information safe?

IQ Electrical Training  (IQET) does not store your credit card information on this website. The exception would be a phone order where we will need to ask you for your credit card information. Offsite credit card processing is provided by First Data, one of the largest credit card processing operations in the world. Unlike many of the other providers we have opted for a secure website. Notice the lock icon and the https designation in the address bar.

 

 


I did not show up for a class I signed up for. Can I get a refund.

It is up to you to communicate to the registrar that you will not be attending a class you signed up for. IQETWest will make every attempt to reschedule you for a future class. If you do not call/text/email the registrar and do not show up for class you will be issued a refund minus a 10% service charge.



Will this class satisfy the State of Connecticut requirements for Electrical License renewal?

IQ Electrical Training  classes meet the minimum requirements as set forth by the Commissioner of the Department of Consumer Protection for Connecticut licensed E1, E2 and E9 electricians.


Is this class acceptable to the state for all Electrical Licenses?

No. The state of Connecticut has mandated that there be different classes for the various license types. IQ is approved to provide CE for "E" licenses. The unlimited class covers E1,E2 and E9. 

 

 


Will I need to bring a code book to class?

All attendees are required to bring their own copy of the 2017 National Electrical Code and a functioning calculator to class. Attendees who do not have a code book and a calculator will not be admitted to class. Electronic versions are acceptable but must be on a tablet or laptop. Cell phone viewing will not be allowed. This is a State of Connecticut requirement.

 


Is this course approved for credit towards the CE requirements for Connecticut licensed building and fire officials?

Yes, this CE course is approved for 4 hours of continuing education credit for building and fire officials. Please submit a copy of your completion certificate to the Department of Administrative Services.


Are electronic versions of the 2017 NEC acceptable?

Electronic versions of the 2017 NEC are acceptable if viewed on a tablet or laptop. Cell phone viewing will NOT be allowed.


What if a class is cancelled?

In the event of a class cancellation every attempt well be made to register any attendee for an alternative future class. If this is not possible a full refund will be provided. All refunds will be processed within 15 days of the original class date.


How will I know if a class has been cancelled?

Weather related cancellations will be announced on the website as well as the screen crawl of Channel 30, Channel 3 and Channel 61. All other cancellations will be announced via email or on the website.


I cannot attend the class I signed up for, Can I reschedule?

If you are unable to attend a class for a personal reason you will be allowed to attend any future class that has available space. Call or text the Registrar at 860-480-3857 and indicate which upcoming class you would like to attend. You may also email the registrar by using the contact us section of this website.


Why do I have to set up an account?

We use the information in your account to keep you informed of any changes/cancellations regarding classes. We can also send reminders of an upcoming class you are signed up for. The account you setup will make for quick registration in upcoming years. IQ Electrical Training maintains an email list of all our customers and will use that to send occasional emails regarding items of interest to electricians.


What is considered late for class?

Any attendee more than 15 minutes late will not be admitted to class. You will have the option of re-schedule or get a refund.


How do I fill out the registration form if I have two licenses?

Call the registrar and she will set you up for two licenses. We will create two sign-in lines on the roster and you wiil receive two certificates at the end of the class.
